First, we need to understand a little more about Discord’s slow mode. Briefly, this feature was created to prevent people from a certain channel from sending one message after another. By accessing the settings, the server owner can control how often these messages will be shared.
Slow mode works very simply: just set a time for new messages to be sent, with a choice between 5 seconds and up to 6 hours. It is important to note that, by selecting a range in a specific channel, it will not be applied in other channels. That is, the change must be made manually in each of them.
How to turn slow mode on and off
Discord’s slow mode is enabled in the channel settings. This means that it can only be enabled by the server owner or people with advanced permissions. See below how to do this:
