How enable 2-step verification works

Two-Step or Two-Factor Verification (2FA) is an additional layer of security offered for secure login to various websites, products and services. It was developed to stop unauthorized access to an account with just basic data, in this case username, email or phone number, combined with a password.

Once enabled, two-step verification requires the user to enter an additional verification code, provided via email, by dedicated apps, or managers such as Authy, Google Authenticator and others. Regardless of the service, avoid SMS verification if possible, as it is the most insecure method of all.
