The button does not exist. We found several requests from users in this regard on the Discord forum. It would be much easier with the “delete all messages” option within the app itself. As this is not the case, let’s see the alternatives that we can use to delete a large number of messages.
How to delete Discord messages?
Basically, we have two options: manually delete one by one or install a bot that does the work automatically through commands. In the first option, it is tiring work, which will take a long time, depending on how busy the channel is.
Manually delete messages
- Place the mouse over the message that must be deleted;
- Press the “…” in the right corner menu;
- Click on “Delete Message”.
With few messages, it is easy to use this method. In a busy channel, with a lot of interaction, it can be tiring to have to delete all messages individually.
Delete many messages at once
- Look for a Bot to delete messages;
- Give the Invite to your server;
- Read the list of commands;
- Delete many messages at the same time.
As an example we use the CommandCleanUp that allows you to delete messages by types, for example: .cleanup text (deletes all text messages); .cleanup link (deletes messages that contain urls); .cleanup bot (deletes messages sent by other bots).

These are simple commands that allow you to delete many messages at the same time in Discord. Just specify which type of message to delete. The Bot can only be used by members who have “Menage Messages” permission.

While Discord does not create a button to delete all messages, we hope that our article has helped you find a solution to suit your needs.
The requests on the forum are so numerous, asking for the collective deletion of messages, that soon, perhaps, we will be able to find this function in an upcoming update. Good luck.
