Steps to be able to change your states
manually
- Go to your profile. (Click on your profile picture).
- Click on “Set a custom status.”
- Write the state as you prefer.
- Select the time at which it will be deleted.
- Pick an emoji. Remember that this is optional.
- Click on “Keep”.

As previously mentioned, Discord has an automatic detection system. Which allows the platform to detect if you are playing a game that is verified. Which allows you to automatically change your status. And it will be displayed as follows “Playing (game name)”. Your status will change again when you restart Discord or when you are no longer playing within the platform.
Please note that if the game is not recognized, you also have the possibility to place it in your status on your own. For this the game must be run outside of Discord, that is, in the background. To add it you just have to complete the following steps:
- Click on the gear figure.
- Choose “gambling activity”.
- Click on “Add it!”.
